Staff members of Dahn & Woodhouse Funeral Homes are caring and experienced professionals who understand that each family is unique and has personal requests and traditions. These requests and traditions are of utmost importance to our staff of licensed funeral directors.
Jay Woodhouse
Funeral Director
Jay Woodhouse has been a licensed funeral director for 26 years. He is a graduate of Carroll High School, the University of Nebraska with a bachelor's degree in Psychology, and the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service where he graduated with academic honors. He was born in 1967 and has lived in the Carroll funeral home most of his life where he currently resides. He has also lived in the Glidden and Scranton locations. Jay is married to Julie (Hess) and they have two children Michael and Emily. Jay has served as President of the Iowa Funeral Directors Association and on the Organ and Tissue Donation Committee for the National Funeral Directors Association.

Robert Woodhouse

Robert D. Woodhouse has owned and operated the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Homes since 1962. He was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and graduated from Roosevelt High School. He attended Coe College in Cedar Rapids and the California School of Mortuary Science in Los Angeles. His wife Gloria passed away in 2011. Robert has four children: Amy Buscher and her husband Jeff of Des Moines, Anne Mosher and her husbnad John of Sioux City, Jay Woodhouse and his wife Julie of Carroll, and Melissa Promes and her husband Rick of Carroll. He also has ten grandchildren Andrew, Alex, and Hannah Buscher, Megan and Laura Mosher, Michael and Emily Woodhouse, and Tyler, Zach, and Elizabeth Promes.
