On November 28, 1948, Curtis was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart, Rebecca Ann Jackson. After high school graduation, Curtis started farming in the Scranton area. Curtis was a man of faith and was actively involved with church activities and home Bible study groups. In his later years, Curtis’ life was centered around his grandchildren and great-grandchildren attending their sporting events and activities. Curtis cherished his time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. Those left to honor his memory include his wife Rebecca; two sons Sidney Franzeen (Cindy) of Bayard and Craig Franzeen (Nancy) of Guthrie Center; 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two sisters Eleanor MacDonald of Cummings, GA, and Karen Fant (Jim) of Heathrow, FL; a brother-in-law Kenneth Jackson of Cedar Rapids; and several nieces and nephews.
