Virginia Louise Tuel

Virginia Louise Tuel, age 62, of Carroll, IA, entered Heaven’s gates on Thursday, March 10, 2022.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, March 14, 2022 at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll with Pastor Dave Hagan officiating.  Music for the service will be by Bill and Molly Benson.  Casket bearers will be Damon Tuel, Brandon Tuel, Carson Tuel, Tyler Tuel, Taylor Tuel, Ryan Paulsen, Dustin Paulsen, and Jacob Lappe.  Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery near Coon Rapids.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 P.M. on Sunday at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll.  Additional visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9:30 – 10:15 A.M. on Monday prior to the service.

Virginia was born on March 11, 1959 in Carroll, IA, and she was the daughter of Val and Marie (Liberto) Tuel.  She grew up in Coon Rapids where she graduated from high school in 1977.  She attended DMACC in Carroll and Boone where she earned a degree in nursing.  Virginia worked at New Hope Village in Carroll as a Registered Nurse for 38 years and was the Director of Nursing for several years.  She was a member of Carroll First Assembly of God Church.  She enjoyed working in her yard, bird watching, her dogs Roxie and Sky, and her cat Chloe.  Family was everything to Virginia who affectionately called her Ginny.  She cherished every moment spent with her nine grandchildren and especially loved spending time with them in the summers swimming in her backyard pool.

Virginia is survived by her two sons: Andrew Tuel (Dawn Miller) of Carroll and Alex Tuel of Waterloo; daughter Stephanie Crumrine (fiancé Mark Stueve) of Templeton; nine grandchildren: Katelyn, Paige, Bryce, Skarlett, Donnald, Melanie, Linnwood, Rowen, and Autumn; her mother Marie Tuel of Carroll; her siblings: Rosemary Paulsen (Marty) of Coon Rapids, Valerie Hucka (Kerry) of Carroll, Marty Tuel (Mary) of Carroll, Tina Lappe (Jeff) of Spirit Lake, and Reggie Tuel of Carroll; many nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

Virginia was preceded in death by her father Val Tuel; two brothers: Linnwood and Randy; a sister Cathy Tuel; and a niece Chelsey Tuel.
