Tracy Marie Gemind

Tracy Marie Gemind, age 41, of Grand Junction passed away at her home in Grand Junction on September 1, 2009. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, September 4, 2009 at St. Brigid’s Catholic Church in Grand Junction with Deacon Gary Schon officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 A.M. on Friday until the time of service. Burial will be in Lost Grove Cemetery near Harcourt. The Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home of Scranton is in charge of arrangements. Born on June 10,1968 at Akron, Ohio, she was the daughter of Michael T. and Joyce (Johnson) Gemind. She grew up in Ohio and Claifornia and graduated from Nightingale High School in Long Beach, California. She has lived in Grand Junction for the past 14 years. Tracy loved Raggedy Anne, Barney, her rattle, going to the grocery store, trains, the outdoors, and spending time with her family. Surviving are her parents Joyce and Carl Nelsen of Grand Junction; a sister Julie Flores and her husband Silas of Oxnard, California; two nephews: Taylon Madison and Johnathon Flores; her step-grandfather Alex Basarab of Melbourne, Florida; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father and her grandparents.
