Tony Muhlbauer, Jr.

Anthony (Tony) Paul Muhlbauer age 57 of RR Arcadia, Iowa died March 20, 2011 at St. Mary's Hospital at Rochester, Minnesota. He was born on March 21, 1953 at Carroll, Iowa and was the son of Anthony and Laura (Feilmeier) Muhlbauer. He was married to Deb Eischeid on June 23, 1973 at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Roselle, Iowa. Tony was a lifelong farmer. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Halbur, Iowa and the VFW in Manning and the Ehlers Gerken Post of the American Legion at Arcadia, Iowa, he had served on the parish finance board. He enjoyed polictical programs on TV, History programs, going to the casino and enjoyed his work as a farmer and spending time with his family and grandkids. Surviving are his wife Deb, of RR Arcadia, a daughter Kerry Trecker and her husband Jim of Halbur, a son Nic Muhlbauer of Cedar Falls, a son Tony of Minneapolis, Minnesota, a son Scot and his wife Stacie of RR Arcadia, and a daughter Jeana Christensen and her husband Cole of Bondurant. Seven grandchildren Stephanie Trecker, Krisitin Trecker, Brittany Trecker, Nathan Trecker, Karlie Muhlbauer, Ty Muhlbauer , Laynie Muhlbauer. His mother in law Darlene Riesberg and her husband Don of Halbur, His brothers and sisters, Susan Muhlbauer of Glenwood,Patsy Muhlbauer and her husband Marvin of Manning, Diane Pinneke of Carroll, Jean Feuerbach and her husband Ron of Omaha, Paul Muhlbauer of Gillette, Wyoming, Carol Wendl and her husband of Panora, Kenny Muhlbauer of Fairbanks, Alaska, Cindy Muhlbauer of Omaha. He was preceded in death by his parents and his father in law Alvin Eischeid. Mass of the Christian Burial will be a t 10:30 AM Thursday March 24, 2011 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Halbur with Father Dale Reiff as celebrant. Friends may call at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll after 3:30 PM on Wednesday where there will be a Rosary at 4PM and a Christian Wake Service at 7PM by the Parish. The casket will be taken to the church at 8:30 AM on Thursday for viewing until the time of Mass. Interment will be in the Parish Cemetery with Military Honors by the Ehlers Gerken Post of the American Legion of Arcadia. Organist for the mass will be Julie Sibbel and the St. Augustine Choir will sing. Lectore for the Mass will be Carol Wendl. Gift Bearers will be Stephanie Trecker, Kristin Trecker and Brittany Trecker. Mass serves will be Lauren Wendl and David Wendl. Eucharistic Ministers will be Don and Annette Wellington and Sandy Loeffelholz. Casket bearers will be Tom Muhlbauer, Kent Halbur, Bret Halbur, Mike Loeffelholz, Brandon Etscheidt, Nathan Hugg.
