Toni Sinclair

     Toni Sinclair, age 77, of Glidden passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at St. Anthony Nursing Home in Carroll following a courageous battle with Lewy Bodies Dementia.      A  Graveside service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at Merle Hay Memorial Cemetery in Glidden with Peg Scheidt of St. Anthony Hospital officiating.       Arrangements are under the direction of the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Glidden and online condolences may be left for the family at www.dahnandwoodhouse.com         A memorial fund has been established in Toni’s name for the Carroll Animal Rescue and may be left with the funeral home.      Born on August 13, 1940 in Stockton, California, she was the daughter of Gary and Dorothy (Grant) Sinclair.  While growing up, her family lived in Atlanta, GA, Buffalo, NY, and Redwood City, CA.  She received her Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from UC Berkley and her Master’s Degree in Library Science from San Jose State University.  Toni loved literature, as she always worked in a library, from her first job as the librarian in middle school to the high school setting.  Upon moving to Glidden she became the Librarian of the Glidden Public Library from which she retired.  Toni also loved her cats and dogs.  She was an avid flower and vegetable gardener.        Toni is survived by her sister Gail Sinclair of Murphys, CA; a niece Jennifer Lombardi and a nephew Scott Marx both of San Francisco.       Toni was preceded in death by her parents Dorothy and Gary Sinclair.
