Marian Dena “Toni” Irlmeier, age 89, of Carroll passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at the Carroll Health Center in Carroll. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Carroll with Fr. Craig Collison as Celebrant. Friends may call at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll after 3:30 P.M. on Tuesday there will be a Rosary at 4:00 P.M. and a Christian Wake Service at 6:30 P.M. by St. Lawrence Parish. The casket will be moved to St. Lawrence Church at 9:00 A.M. on Wednesday where visitation will resume until the time of service. Lector for the Mass will be Buck Irlmeier. Music will be by Kate Cuddy and the St. Lawrence Choir with Nikki Olberding as soloist. Eucharistic Ministers Dean and Ann Wallace. Mass Servers will be Kali Irlmeier and Emalyn Foster. Casket bearers will be Toni’s Grandchildren: Buck Irlmeier, Melissa Nguyen, Kelly Foster, Abby Smith, Jake Irlmeier, Tracy Ward, Doug Olberding, Andy Olberding, Katie Halouska, and Scott Gregory. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Templeton. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll and online condolences may be left for the family at www.dahnandwoodhouse.com Born on March 27, 1926 at the home of her parents near Lidderdale, she was the daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth (Berns) Peters. She grew up on her family’s farm near Lidderdale and attended country school. She was married to Wilfred William (Bud) Irlmeier on November 29, l945 at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Carroll with Father O. W. Koester as Celebrant. During their married life Bud and Toni lived in the Dedham, Ralston, Templeton, Glidden and Carroll areas. Toni was a homemaker while her children were growing up and later in life she worked as a tour coordinator for several casinos taking area residents on fun filled trips to the casinos as Toni’s Tours. She was a member of St. Lawrence Parish. Toni is survived by two sons: Jim Irlmeier and his wife Peggy of Glidden and Monty “Mudd” Irlmeier and his wife Pitter of Carroll; two daughters: Karen Olberding and her husband Steve of Carroll and Lori Gregory and her husband Denny of Glenwood; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and the following in-laws: Jo Ann Peters of Thornton, CO, Kathleen Irlmeier of Audubon, Mox Irlmeier and his wife Anna Mae of Templeton, and Al Kraus of Maple River. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bud in 2007, two brothers: Henry “Hinie” and Vernon, and three sisters: Lenore Emmick, Malinda Douglas, and Dorothy Sturm, and two grandchildren in infancy Heidi and Jason Irlmeier.
