Timothy John Lucht, age 59, of Adel and formerly of Coon Rapids passed away on December 28, 2016 at his home in Adel. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Coon Rapids with Rev. David Carscadden of First Baptist Church in Adel officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Willow Township Cemetery near Coon Rapids with Pastor Alan Miller of Trinity Lutheran Church of Coon Rapids officiating. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Tim’s name and may be left at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Coon Rapids and online condolences may be left for the family at www.dahnandwoodhouse.com Born on January 1, 1957 in Carroll, Iowa, he was son of Roy and Louise (Carstens) Lucht. He was Baptized and Confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Coon Rapids. Tim attended and graduated from Coon Rapids High School. He enjoyed wrestling and qualified for many tournaments. Tim attended United Electronics &TV Technical School in Cedar Rapids before joining Archer TV as a TV and Electronics Technican. He worked nearly 30 years at Archer TV and really enjoyed his work whether it was working on a TV, installing surround sound systems, DVD’s or Satellite TV. He met Debra Hamlin and they were married on April 9, 1976. They were overjoyed at the birth of their son, Christopher on October 29, 1979. He was very proud of Christopher and joined him at baseball. As a family they enjoyed camping, fishing and attending family get-to-gathers. Tim loved fishing and going on fishing trips with his friends. He also enjoyed spending time with his dog, Buddy. A few years earlier, Tim was an avid bowler and enjoyed playing wallieball. More recently, he looked forward to his weekly Foosball night with his friends. Besides being an avid fisherman, he loved watching Iowa Hawkeye football games with his son, and rooting on his Pittsburgh Steelers. In the past few years he enjoyed going to New Port Richey, FL with son, Christopher, to visit and fish with his nephew, Adrian Lucht, and Adrian’s friends. Tim was looking forward to having Christmas with his brother and sisters which was as to be on his January 1st Birthday! Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Louse Lucht; Brother, Keane Lucht (2 1/2 months ago); Nephew Jason Grice, Great-niece Amber Hansen and Great-nephew Sterling Hansen. Grandparents Bob & Winnie Lucht and John and Marie Carstens. Tim is survived by his son Christopher Lucht of Granger; Christopher’s Mother Deb of Minburn, IA; a brother Robert “Bob” Lucht of Guthrie Center; sisters; Betty (Dick) Knudsen, Jo-Ann Grice and Karen (Max) Olesen all of Coon Rapids; three aunts: Rosie Hunter of Panora, IA, Faye Carstens of Bayard, IA, and Lois Montesano of Ft. Myers, FL; and several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews and many good friends.
