      Timothy Eldred Reever, age 53, of Glidden, IA, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, October 6, 2018.   Funeral service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at the First Presbyterian Church in Glidden with Rev. Rick Hamilton officiating.  Organist for the service will be Marlys Conner and soloist will be Ben Schaefer.  Casket bearers will be Brian Johnson, Don Schon, Mike Schaefer, Mike Lloyd, Brett Leymaster, Doug Brower, Rod Wolf, Jim Hermansen, Paul Walkup, Rick Burdine, Butch Gregory, Lynn Stork, Lyle Stork, and Jerry White.  Honorary casket bearers will be the Alpha Gamma Rho pledge class of 1983.  Burial will be in the Merle Hay Memorial Cemetery near Glidden.   Friends may call at the First Presbyterian Church in Glidden after 4:00 P.M. on Wednesday where there will be a Masonic service held at 7:00 P.M.  Visitation will resume at the church at 9:30 A.M. on Thursday until the time of service.  Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Glidden and online condolences may be left for Tim’s family at www.dahnandwoodhouse.com   Born on May 20, 1965 in Carroll, IA, he was the son of Harry and Judy (Conner) Reever.  Tim grew up on his family’s farm north of Glidden and graduated from Glidden – Ralston High School in 1983.  He attended Iowa State University where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Farm Operations with a minor in Agronomy.  He was a member of Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity.  Following college Tim moved to his grandparent’s farm south of Glidden.  He was married to Lora Nelson on December 30, 1989 at the First Presbyterian Church in Glidden by Rev. Don Cameron.  Tim and Lora continued to live on the Reever family farm where they raised their three children, William Eldred, Wesley Jay, and Whitney Elizabeth. Tim also owned and operated Agri Associates for 31 years. He loved farming and helping local farmers improve their bottom line. He recently sold Agri Associates to Nutrien Ag Solutions and was excited to be able to offer more services to his customers. He loved farming especially with new technology and equipment.  Tim was a 5th generation farmer and owned and operated a century farm. Tim always considered the community his family. He was active with promoting FFA Fun Days, Glidden-Ralston school, and the Carroll county fair, with the new show ring and cattle barn.  He helped to   build the football bleachers and playground equipment at the school.  He was instrumental in the building of the new swimming pool in Glidden.  He was one of the 25 Amigos who revitalized Mr. D’s into the current day Lincoln Club. He was also an active member in the Glidden Presbyterian church where he served as an Elder on the Session.  He was a member of Haggai Masonic Lodge #369 in Glidden and served on the Glidden REC board for many years.  Family was his greatest joy of all and he loved spending time with them   in Minnesota which was his true vacation.  He loved attending GR activities including: volleyball, basketball, football, baseball, swim team, band, choir, and softball games to cheer on his kids. Tim was an avid Cyclones fan. This loyalty led to attending many basketball and football games as well as making memories with the Glidden Gang. Tim also loved spending time and watching his kids all work together when showing livestock. Tim took great pride in watching his kids work hard and succeed in the show ring.  Music was also his passion and he was a member of the Happiness Express Barber Shop Choir.  His love for music was passed on to his children with many fond memories of singing together.  The family also enjoyed riding motorcycles. Tim is survived by his wife Lora of Glidden; his children: William Reever (fiancé Leah Gilman), Wesley Reever, and Whitney Reever all of Glidden; his parents: Harry and Judy Reever of rural Glidden; his mother and father-in-law Larry and Janice Nelson of Woodward; his sister Traci Schaefer (Mike) of Clive, IA; a sister-in-law Elayna Caruthers (Al) of Granger; niece Lindsay Schaefer; three nephews: Ben Schaefer, Matt Peterson, and Sam Peterson. Tim was preceded in death by his grandparents Louie and Esther Conner and Eldred and Frances Reever; and a brother-in-law Brian Nelson.
