Stanley P. Daiker, age 62, of Carroll passed away on Sunday, August 5, 2018 at Regency Park in Carroll. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll with his brother Pastor Steven Daiker officiating. Burial will be in the Carroll City Cemetery. Friends may call at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home from 5 – 7 P.M. on Tuesday evening. Visitation will resume at the funeral home at 10 A.M. on Wednesday until the time of service. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll and online condolences may be left for Stan’s family at www.dahnandwoodhouse.com Born on June 17, 1956 in Ida Grove, Iowa, he was the son of Elmer and Rose (Rix) Daiker. Stan grew up in Carroll and graduated from Kuemper High School in 1974. He worked for Allied Van Lines and sold cars in the Carroll area. He began Stan’s Lawn and Landscape in 1991. He was married to Mary Tigges on August 1, 1981 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Willey by Fr. James Fangman. Stan and Mary made their home on the Daiker family acreage north of Carroll and he became Dad to Mary’s children, Stacey and Ben and to this union were born two more children Jill and Jon. Stan enjoyed fishing, hunting, socializing and all things Iowa Hawkeyes. He cherished his family and loved spending time with them. Left to celebrate Stan’s life are his children: Stacey Peter (John) of Carroll, Ben Dailey (Emily) of Loveland, Colorado, Jill Daiker (Ciaran Bowe) of Ames, and Jon Daiker of Carroll; their mother Mary Daiker of Carroll; eight grandchildren; his father Elmer Daiker of Carroll; his brother Steven Daiker (Deanna) of Manning; two sisters: Nancy Daiker (Barry Peterson) of Leon and Amy Larrington (Bo) of Lake of the Ozarks, MO; and several nieces and cousins, and many good friends. Stan was preceded in death by his mother Rose Daiker in 2015.
