Stacie Renae Schaefer

Stacie Renae Schaefer, age 43, of Manilla, IA, passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines surrounded by family.

A Celebration of Life Reception will be held from 11:00 A.M. – 4 P.M. on Sunday, November 16, 2025 at the East Side Shelter House at Swan Lake State Park in Carroll.

The Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll assisted the family with arrangements.

Stacie was born January 22, 1982 at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll. She was the daughter of Linda Schaefer and Rex Andersen. She attended Carroll Community Schools. After high school, she moved to Council Bluffs and was employed at West in Omaha, NE, and later Hog Stop BBQ and Eddies Convenience Store in Council Bluffs before moving back to Carroll. Stacie was then employed at Sparky’s Convenience Store before moving to Manilla with her mother after the passing of her stepfather Rusty Weeks. Stacie enjoyed spending time with her family and her cat “Weeks”.

Stacie is survived by her mother, Linda Weeks of Manilla, IA; brother, Justin Weeks (Shauna) of Glidden, IA; sister, Jamie Stocker of Carroll, IA; nieces and nephews: Aaliyah, Abby, Savanna, Johnny, Ethan, and Theo; father, Rex Andersen of Brayton, IA; many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Stacie is preceded in death by her stepfather, Russell “Rusty” Weeks; brother-in-law, Nathan Stocker; maternal grandparents: Melvin and Leone Schaefer and Harold and Phyllis Weeks; paternal grandparents: Richard and Margaret Andersen and Claude and Carol Jayne; aunts and uncles: Debbie Schaefer, Sue Schaefer, Leonard Wieland, Steve Weeks, Mike Weeks (Debbie), Joe Bauer, Rick Andersen, Peggy Juhl, and Dorci Andersen; other relatives and friends.
