Sheryl "Sherry" Jane Pemble

Sheryl “Sherry” Jane Pemble, age 76, of Carroll passed away on Monday, April 4, 2016 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, April 11, 2016 at Peace Lutheran Church in Glidden with Pastor Alan Miller officiating. Organist for the service will be Becky Miller and soloist will be Carl Wilburn. Casket Bearers will be R.T. Schreck, Gene Wiederin, Steve Zimmerman, Brad Zimmerman, and Dale Zimmerman. Burial will be in the Merle Hay Memorial Cemetery near Glidden. Friends may call at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll after 5:00 P.M. on Sunday where there will be a prayer service held at 6:30 P.M. The casket will be moved to the church at 9:30 A.M. on Monday where visitation will resume until the time of service. Sherry was born August 14, 1939 on the family farm near Ralston. She was the daughter of Esther (Ott) and Virgil Zimmerman. She graduated from Glidden High School. She married Jerry Pemble and had their son David Pemble. Sheryl worked at Iowa Savings Bank in Carroll as vice president. She later worked for ISEA as secretary for the Iowa teachers union. She loved life and laughter, and people enjoyed her sense of humor. She had a love for animals and Sherry enjoyed family and friends especially her special friend Linda Sporrer. Sherry is survived by her son David (Donna) Pemble of Carroll, three step-grandkids: Sarah (Jermey) Douglas, Scott Seidl, and Stacy Seidl (Kurt Risselman); three great-grandkids: Emily Seidl, Jayden and Madison Douglas; two brothers: Doug (Sheryl) Zimmerman of Carroll, Doyle (Diane) Zimmerman of Omaha; aunts and uncles: Junior & Swaney Zimmerman of Scranton, Bob Anderson of Coon Rapids, Jim and Judy Zimmerman of Lake City, and many nieces and nephews. Sheryl was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Esther Zimmerman.
