Sheryl Kay Brown

Sheryl Kay Brown, age 53, of Glidden passed away on Monday, December 10, 2007 at the Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. Born on October 15, 1954 at Ft. Dodge, Iowa, she was the daughter of Ray and Kay (Peachey) Hanson. She grew up in Ft. Dodge and graduated from Ft. Dodge High School. She was married to Robert Brown on June 28, 191975 at Epworth United Methodist Church in Ft. Dodge. The couple lived in Forrest City, Cedar Falls, Westchester, Ohio, and Templeton before moving to Glidden. She was employed by the Department of Human Services in Carroll. Sheryl was a member of the Glidden United Methodist Church. She enjoyed her cats, spending time at the ocean, going to the casinos, and being with her family and friends. Surviving are a son Chris Brown of Urbandale, Iowa; a daughter Stephanie Fitzgerald and her husband Ryan of Cedar Falls; a son Matthew Brown and his wife Jenna of Carroll; her parents Ray and Kay Hanson of Manson, Iowa; his mother-in-law Thelma Brown of Sac City, a brother Ron Hanson nad his wife Sherri of Inman, South Carolina; a brother Steve Hanson of Carroll; a sister and brother-in-law Charlene and Bill Sturm of Glidden; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Sheryl was preceded in death by her husband in 2005 and her father-in-law Robert Brown. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, December 14, 2007 at the Glidden United Methodist Church with Rev. Chad Jennings officiating. Friends may call at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Glidden after 5:00 P.M. on Thursday where a prayer service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Arrangements are under the direction of the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Glidden.
