Shelli Leah Cole

Shelli Lea Cole, age 50, of Carroll passed away unexpectedly at her home on Friday, January 29, 2021.

A graveside service will be held at the Carroll City Cemetery at a later date.

Shelli was born on October 15, 1970 in Carroll, IA, and she was the daughter of Victor and Sharon (Heide) Warnke.  She grew up in Carroll and moved to Florida her junior year in high school where she graduated from Sarasota High School.  Shelli worked as a pharmacy technician following high school.  She was married to Michael Cole in Florida and Shelli later moved back to Iowa with her mother.  She loved her three cats: Bugsy, Stormy, and Simba.  She enjoyed shopping and spending time with her niece Mercedes.

Shelli is survived by her mother Sharon Sturges of Carroll; her father Victor Warnke (Helen) of Carroll; her brother Benton Warnke (Kim) of Carroll; a step-sister Misty Sturgis-Brown (Russell) of Northport, FL; a niece Mercedes Warnke; a nephew Jacob Warnke; and several other extended family members.

Shelli was preceded in death by her by her step father John Sturges; and her uncle Arnold Heide.
