Sharon Qiu, age 58, of Carroll passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at her home in Carroll surrounded by her family.
A visitation will be held from 10 A.M. – 12 P.M. on Sunday, August 16, 2015 at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll where the family will greet friends. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Sharon’s name and may be left at the funeral home.

Born on August 27, 1956 in Beijing, China she was the daughter of Zhou Mei Qing and Qiu Ru Han. Sharon grew up in Guangzhou, China where she attended primary school and college. She was married to David Tong on July 22, 1985 in Guangzhou. While living in China, Sharon worked as a municipal civil engineer for the government. The couple moved to Carroll in 1999. Sharon worked for her in-laws, Henry and Kai Lau, at Hunan Chinese Restaurant for 15 years. She also worked for Santa Maria Winery for five years. Sharon enjoyed ballroom dancing, fishing, gardening, and cooking traditional Chinese dishes. She also loved to spend time with her family.
Sharon is survived by her husband David Tong of Carroll; a son Kenny Tong of Columbus, OH; her family in Guangzhou, China: mother Zhou Mei Qing, a brother Qiu Quo Ji, two sisters Qiu Qiai Yi and Qiu De Fang; several in-laws including Kai and her husband Henry Lau of Las Vegas, NV. Sharon was preceded in death by her father Qiu Ru Han and her brother Qiu Ping.
