Ruth A. Sisson

Ruth Ann Sisson, age 64, of Carroll passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2009 at the Odebolt Nursing & Rehab Center. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held in Carroll from 5 – 9 P.M. at the Carrollton Centre in Polly’s on Friday, September 18, 2009. Arrangements are under the direction of the Dahn & Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll. Born on May 6, 1945 in Negaunee, Michigan, she was the daughter of Jack & Violet (Arpiainen) Ivey. She grew up in Ishpeming, Michigan and lived in various locations before moving to Carroll in 1976. Ruth was most recently employed by the Carrollton Inn and Farner - Bocken. In her spare time she enjoyed reading, playing Euchre and spending time with her friends, her children and her grandchildren. Surviving are her children: Robert Johnson of Omaha; Lori Koster and husband Scott of Breda, Travis Sisson of West Des Moines; Sheli Pester and husband Kevin of Charter Oak; Nick Sisson of Carroll; Kati Schwarz and husband Zach of Odebolt; twelve grandchildren: Emily, Derik, Abigail, Zachary, Derek, Taylor, Hannah, Brooke, Jordyn, Chase, Myriah and Lilli; a great granddaughter Chloe; and the following brothers and sisters: Ron Ivey, Randi Ivey, Sandra Clarke, Susan Deneau, half-brother James Brewster, half sister Mary Agee and step brothers & sisters: Linda, Velma, Myron and Timothy.
