She grew up and attended school near Lake City. On October 27, 1945, Ruth was united in marriage with John Henry Molitor at Lake City. The couple first made their home in Manson, Iowa. In 1958, they moved to Coon Rapids. Ruth worked in numerous jobs including the Southside Café in Coon Rapids and then became manager of an International Harvester parts department. She did this for eighteen years, until the company closed its doors. She then was employed as a Distribution clerk for the Garst Seed Company. After ten years she retired, and since then had helped during the seed shipping season. Throughout the years Ruth enjoyed fishing with John, camping, bowling, traveling, reading, and spending time with her family. She was known to help others whenever she had the opportunity. She always gave, expecting nothing in return. Ruth died at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll, Iowa, on Friday, March 30, 2012, at the age of eighty-nine. Ruth is survived by: a daughter Barbara J. Vogl of Carroll; a son Randy Molitor and special friend Dianne Westfall of Kaizer, Oregon; three grandchildren: Christine Beeson of Des Moines; Brandy Nagl and husband Mike of Farnhamville; Leah Vogl and fiancé Jimmy Kennebeck of Carroll; five great grandchildren: Marissa, Macie and Max Kennebeck and Caleb and Noah Nagl. Three brothers-in-law: Marvin Molitor of Storm Lake; Allen Molitor of Winnetka, Illinois; Alvin Molitor and wife Jo of Carroll; and by nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband John; a son-in-law LeRoy Vogl; grandson Johnathon Bryant Molitor; a brother Ken Morrow and wife Florence; a sister Marjorie Baldwin and husband Willard; a sister-in-law Viola Selzer and husband John; a brother-in-law Larry Molitor and wife Lydia and a sister-in-law Shirley Molitor. The Johnson & Woodhouse Funeral Home in Coon Rapids is in charge of arrangements.
