Ronald Joseph Cleveland Jr., age 57, of Westside, IA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family.

According to Ron's wishes, a private family service will be held at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll with Rev. Andrew Noble officiating.

A public celebration of Ron’s life will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at the Westside Community Building from 11 A.M. – 2 P.M. with a time to share memories at 1 P.M. led by Jeff Miller.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll and online condolences may be left for the family at www.dahnandwoodhouse.com

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials for a later designation.

Ron was born on December 18, 1967 in Quantico, VA, and he was the son of Ronald Sr. and Delane (Heuton) Cleveland.  He grew up in Coon Rapids and Glidden until his family moved to Carroll when he was in the 5th grade.  He graduated from Carroll High School in 1986.  He was married to Lois Potthoff, and to this union two sons were born: Chance and Eli.  Ron has worked as a welder since high school.  He was later remarried to Kim Stoelk on October 13, 2001 at Zion Lutheran Church in Arcadia.  To this union four sons were born: Garrett, Kalon, Kyelar, and Jax and they made their home in the Westside area.  Ron was known to be a very hard worker and he enjoyed fishing.  He was an awesome Dad and attended all of his children’s activities.  He enjoyed collecting most everything and he cherished time spent with his good buddies.

Ron is survived by his wife Kim Cleveland of Westside; his six sons: Chance Cleveland (Breely) of Carroll, Eli Cleveland of Carroll, Garrett Cleveland (fiancé Alexa Schroeder) of Ankeny, Kalon Cleveland of Ankeny, Kyelar Cleveland of Ankeny, and Jax Cleveland of Westside; two step-brothers: Chris Cleveland (Crystal) of Jewel and Jamie Cleveland of Nevada; other extended family members, and many good friends.

Ron was preceded in death by his father Ronald Cleveland Sr., his mother Delane Cleveland, and his grandparents.
