Roland Gerald Gotsch, age 61, of Lidderdale passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll.
Born on June 3, 1946 at Carroll, Iowa, he was the son of Gerald and Bertha (Subbert) Gotsch. Roland was a lifelong resident of Lidderdale. He graduated from Carroll High School in 1964 and then attended AIB in Des Moines where he earned a business degree. He served in the National Guard for six years. For the past 10 years he was employed by Wenck Feeds of Lidderdale and he has farmed for many years. He was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lidderdale.
Surviving are two nephews, Charles Gotsch and his wife, Laurie, of Mt Pleasant, IA, Barry Gotsch and his wife, Mary, of Carrollton, MO, and one niece, Deb Staton and her husband Chuck, Leawood, MO, along with several great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Donald.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, April 5, 2008 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lidderdale with Rev. Raymond Reinbolt officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service. Organist for the service will be Agnes Onken. Burial will be in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery near Lidderdale. Casket bearers will be Scott Wenck, Dan Wenck, Jeff Wenck, and Lynn Wenck.
