She grew up at Glidden and graduated from Glidden-Ralston High School. Roberta then worked at the elevator in Ralston and Dr. Shriver’s dental office in Glidden.    On December 12, 1948, Roberta was united in marriage with Harmon Junior Linn at Glidden. The couple lived in Glidden and farmed for eight years before moving to Coon Rapids in 1958. For many years they operated Linn’s Feed Service. From 1966 to her retirement in 1992, Roberta was the high school secretary in Coon Rapids. During their retirement, Bobbie and Jr. delivered motor homes around the country. Harmon died July 24, 2005.    Roberta was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Order of the Eastern Star, and United Methodist Women. She was also a charter member of the Iowa EO TTT Chapter of Coon Rapids. Throughout the years, she enjoyed crocheting, cooking, doing needle work, camping, cheering on the ISU Cyclones, attending her children’s sporting events and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.    In April of 2011, Roberta was diagnosed with cancer. She died Tuesday, October 11, 2011, at Thomas Rest Haven in Coon Rapids.   She was eighty-three years of age. Roberta is survived by: her children: Gregg Linn of Bayard; Debra Smidt of Coon Rapids; Laurie and husband Doug Cooper of Holden, Missouri; and William Linn and wife Barbara of Lake City; eight grandchildren: Amber Linn-Koch and husband Kelly, Kristine Linn, Rachel and husband Aaron Kenyon, Nick Venteicher and special friend Alisa Carstens, Robert Cooper and wife Andi, Chris Cooper, Joel Linn and wife Tami and Jonathan Linn; a granddaughter-in-law Tina Linn; 13 great-grandchildren: Tristan Linn, Jordyn Linn, Chloe Koch, Autumn Koch, Jaylinn Koch, Jared Kenyon, Conner Kenyon, Logan Kenyon, Grace Venteicher, Evan England, Collin Cooper, Mason Cooper and Tyler Linn; a brother Kenneth Conner of Scottsdale, Arizona; a brother-in-law Robert Allen of Ames; a sister-in-law Darlene Linn of Webster City; and by nieces, nephews, other relative and friends.    She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three grandchildren: Jeremy Linn, Matthew Venteicher and Jessica Linn; a brother in infancy Richard Conner and two sisters Colleen Linn and Sheryl Allen.
