Randy Gerrard Burgart, age 51, of Auburn, Iowa, passed away on Friday, November 21, 2008 at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll.
Born on December 21, 1956 at Carroll, Iowa, he was the son of Joseph and Agnes (Vanderloo) Burgart. He grew up in Carroll and Lake City and graduated from Lake City High School. He was employed by PDI Food Distributers of Ankeny, Iowa. In his spare time Randy enjoyed fishing, hunting, reading, and spending time with his girls. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Carroll.
Surviving are two daughters: Brandy and Amber Burgart both of Newton, Iowa; a brother Bill Burgart of Cushing, Iowa three sisters: Jayne Boes and her husband Daryl of Mesa, Arizona, Sharon Gilbin and her husband Marty of San Antonio, Texas, and Debbie (Mittelstadt) Keat and her husband Ron of Auburn, Iowa; an aunt Evelyn Snyder of Carroll; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at First Assembly of God Church in Carroll with Rev. David Shall officiating. Friends may call at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll after 5:00 P.M. on Monday. The casket will be moved to the church at 8:30 A.M. on Tuesday to lie in state until the time of service. Burial will be in the Lanesboro Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Steve Annunzio, Joey Annunzio, Loren Van Der Vliet, Ron Keat, and Bill Burgart. Honorary casket bearers will be Daryl D. Boes Jr.,Billy Annunzio, and Rickey Annunzio.
