Randy was born on November 15, 1949 at St. Anthony Hospital in Carroll, IA, and was the son of Vernon and Burnita (Daniel) Warnke. He attended St. Lawrence School and graduated from Carroll High with the Class of 1967. After graduation he worked as a diesel mechanic and then worked in construction until 1974 when he founded Warnke Construction Company and after a few years he invited his brother Victor to join him as a partner in the business. On March 3, 1978 he was united in marriage to Vickie Neumayer in Carroll, Iowa. They were blessed with four children: Kurt, Robyn, Holly, and Justin. They lived in Carroll where he continued to own and operate his construction company until he retired in 2018.

Randy was an active member of the community and was a member of several organizations in Carroll. In his younger years he loved his guitars and played with several local bands. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved his fishing trips to Canada with his sons. He enjoyed playing golf, attending social events and was the life of the party, and spending time at their lake house in Lake View. Randy will always be remembered for the massive number of pictures he took and insisting everyone take the pop tabs off their cans. After 40 years of collecting them, he was able to make a large contribution to the Ronald McDonald House. But most of all he cherished the time spent with his family, especially his children and grandchildren.

Randy is survived by his wife Vickie Warnke of Carroll; his children: Kurt Warnke (Amy) of Carroll, Robyn DeSart (Jamie) of Carroll, Holly Anderson (Steve) of West Des Moines, IA, and Justin Warnke (Courtney) of Ankeny, IA; grandchildren: Ryam Nelson (Ryan), Evan Warnke, Taylor Sporrer, Megan Cook (Shawn), Myriah DeSart, Madison Sarysz (Stephen), Mandy DeSart, Charlotte Anderson, Avett Anderson, Ellis Anderson, Iris Warnke, and Otto Warnke; several great-grandchildren; four sisters: Cindy Mueggenberg of Carroll, Melody (Richard) Heim of Auburn, Cathy (John) Peterson of Carroll, and Michelle Stork of Breda; five brothers: Dennis (Donna) Warnke, Dallas (Brenda) Warnke, Kevin Warnke, Mike Warnke, and Scott Warnke - all of Carroll; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Darlene Warnke of Carroll, Ronald Schiltz of Carroll, Ron Neumayer (Bev) of Lincoln, Randy Neumayer (Karen) of Lincoln, Deanne Dentlinger (Dave) of Arcadia, Tim Neumayer (Deb) of Naperville, IL, Kristy Schaefer of Omaha, NE, Cindy Schweers (Rich) of Arcadia, Geri Wieneke (Larry) of Omaha, Mark Neumayer (Sharon) of Omaha, Bob Neumayer (Laurie) of Omaha, Scott Neumayer (Lisa) of Johnston, IA, Meleah Jones (Luke) of Springville, IA; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
