Phyllis Ann Lago

Phyllis Ann Lago, age 66, of Coon Rapids, IA, passed away on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at Nebraska Medicine in Omaha, NE, surrounded by her family.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, June 27, 2021 at Ascension Lutheran Church in Coon Rapids, IA, with Pastor Jerry Schultz officiating.

Visitation will be held at Ascension Lutheran Church from 1:00 – 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, June 27, 2021 prior to the service.

Phyllis was born on July 28, 1954 in Roseburg, Oregon, and she was the daughter of Jay and Helen (Newcomb) Parker.  She grew up  in Tracy, CA, where she graduated from Duncan-Russell High School in 1972.  Following high school she worked as a lab technician for Leprino Foods for 24 year.  Phyllis was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Tracy while living in California.  She was married to Phil Lago on January 18, 1992 in Tracy, CA.  The couple made their home in Tracy until moving to Coon Rapids in 2012.  Phyllis enjoyed sewing, crocheting, making flower arrangements, crafts, baking, and spending time with her family.

Phyllis is survived by her husband Phil of Coon Rapids; three sons: Jason List (Jessi) of Coon Rapids, Bryan List (Erin) of Coon Rapids, Phillip Lago (Michele) of Brentwood, CA; fourteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister Ceci Carter of Coon Rapids; a brother-in-law Daniel Navarro (Gloria) of Hawthorne, CA; and many nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents Jay and Helen Parker and her sister Jaylene Parker.
