Paula R. Voigt

Paula Rae Voigt, age 49, of Carroll, Iowa, and formerly of Fernley, Nevada, passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at the Carroll Health Center in Carroll, Iowa. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll, Iowa, and online condolences may be left for the family at www.dahnandwoodhouse.com Born on January 16, 1962 at York, Nebraska, she was the daughter of John and Mary (Wilkens) Sylvester. Paula grew up in Omaha, Denver, and LasVegas graduating from E.W. Clarke High School in 1980. She worked in banking as a branch manager in Fernley, Nevada. She was married to Jack Parks Voigt on May 2, 1998 at Wadsworth, Nevada. The couple lived in Fernley following their marriage until moving to Carroll in 2006. Surviving are her husband Jack Voigt of Carroll; her parents John and Mary Sylvester of Fernley, Nevada; three daughters: Kristin Menezes of Fernley, Nevada, Catie Menezes of Fernley, Nevada, and Kellie Rae Menezes of Reno,Nevada; four grandchildren: Gracie Rae, Emma Jae, Stephen, and Carson; a brother John Earl Sylvester and his wife Kathleen of Sparks, Nevada. Paula was preceded in death by her grandparents.
