Paul J Reinart

Paul John Reinart, age 77, of Carroll passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll with Fr. Jose Shinoj officiating.  Casket bearers will be Rick Hahn, Alan Schmits, Al Knapp, Shawn Woodward, Todd Schroeder, and David Schwery.  Burial will be in the Holy Family Cemetery near Lidderdale with military honors conducted by the Carroll American Legion.

Friends may call at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll after 5:00 P.M. on Tuesday where there will be a Christian Wake Service held at 6:30 P.M.  Additional visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 09:30 A.M. until the time of service.  Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll and online condolences may be left for the family www.dahnandwoodhouse.com

Born on September 25, 1941 in Manning, IA, Paul was the son of Hilbert and Cecelia (Reiff) Reinart.  His family lived in Audubon until he was in fifth grade when his family moved to Carroll.  He attended Kuemper High School and enlisted in the United States Navy in 1960 and served four years.  Following his military service he worked at General Electric in Carroll.  He was married to Sharon F. Snyder on March 1, 1965 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Carroll.  To this union three children were born three children:  Jackie, and twins John and Joanna.  The couple divorced after eight years and he was later married to Monica Perry in Houston, TX.   Paul and Monica had one daughter Ashley.  They lived in Carroll and Paul continued to work at GE until the plant closed and he retired.  Paul enjoyed playing cards, watching television, going to the casino, and spending time with his family.

Paul is survived by a son John Reinart (Tammi Trimble) of Carroll; his daughter Ashley Reinart of Carroll; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; three sisters: Roseann “Suzy” Willman of Webster City, IA, Darlene Jensen (Mark Sensat) of Houston, TX, and Mary Underberg (James) of Carroll; two brothers: Alvin Reinart (Joan) of Boone and Jerome Reinart of St. Louis, MO; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents Hilbert and Cecelia Reinart; two daughters: Joanna Reinart in 2010 and Jackie in 2018.
