Patricia Ann Petty

Patricia Ann Petty, age 45, of 76l 7th Ave. Coon Rapids, Iowa passed away unexpectedly at her home on September 21, 2007 . Mass of the Christian Burial will be at10:30 AM Tuesday, September 25, 2007 at Annunciation Catholic Church in Coon Rapids with Father Anthony Pick and Deacon Louis Meiners celebrating the Mass. Friends may call at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll after 2:30 PM on Monday where there will be a Rosary at 3PM and a Christian Wake Service at 7PM by Annunciation Parish. The casket will be moved to the Church in Coon Rapids at 8:30 AM Tuesday where friends may call until time of the Mass. Interment will be in the Union Township Cemetery near Coon Rapids. Lectors will be Tia Vaux and Corrine South. Gift Bearers will be Rick and Theresa Gelhaus. Casket Bearers will be Randy Malloy, Roger Petty, Kevin Petty, Anthony Flug, Josh Smouse and Chris Hartl. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Patty’s name and memorials may be left at the funeral home or the church. Patty was born on July l6, l962 at Carroll, Iowa and was the daughter of Victor and Darlene (Steinkamp) Tigges. She was married to Dell Petty on August 28, l982 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Carroll by Father Bryan Hughes. She was employed by Syngenta Seeds in Coon Rapids as a secretary for the past 17 years. As a young girl she attended Carroll Community Schools and graduated from Carroll High School in 1980. She was a member of Annunciation Catholic Church, the ladies Guild of the Church where she did volunteer work, and she was also a member of the TTT in Coon Rapids. In her spare time she enjoyed working with flowers, collecting antiques, and she cherished her family and friends. Surviving are her husband Dell of Coon Raids; a son Bryan Petty of Coon Rapids; a brother Danny Tigges of Carroll; a sister Darcy Schonberger and her husband Rod of Shawnee, Kansas; a nephew Joel Schonberger of Manhattan, Kansas; a sister-in-law Donna Gruhn and her husband Don of Cedar Rapids, a sister-in-law Linda Petty of Kansas City, Missouri; a sister-in-law Luann Olsen and her husband Gary of Exira; a brother-in-law Kevin Petty and his wife Cherie of Exira; a brother-in-law Roger Petty and his wife Jaxine of Coon Rapids; a sister-in-law Lori Cooper and her husband Ivan of Plattsburg, Missouri; a sister-in-law Elsie Flug and her husband Rich of Audubon; a brother-in-law Sidney Petty and his wife Cherie of Atlantic; and many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins. She was preceded in death by an infant son Brent Petty, her parents, her grandparents Joseph and Josephine Steinkamp and Frank and Mary Tigges, infant twin sisters: Janet Lee and Terri Lynn, two brothers-in-law Ronald and Ralph Petty, and her mother and father-in-law: Ruby and Leo Petty.
