Patricia Ann Bundt was born to Myron William and Norma Almyra (Kerr) Bundt on March 26, 1936 in Carroll, Iowa at St. Anthony’s Hospital. She grew up on farms near Carrollton, Ralston, Guthrie Center, and north of Coon Rapids and attended Coon Rapids High School. After graduating in 1954, she went to nursing school for a year then attended Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. She taught kindergarten in Cedar Rapids for several years. On October 19, 1962 she gave birth to a son and made the tough decision to give him up for adoption. She then moved to Montana and taught second grade. There, she met and married Lawrence Duane McAtee on March 13, 1965 and to this union was born Lisa Jean McAtee on January 10, 1966. Moving to Iowa in the fall of 1966, Pat taught second grade in Bayard. The family moved back to Kalispell Montana in 1973. She started attending Central Bible Church in 1974, where she received her believer’s baptism and had a wonderful church family. After divorcing in 1983, she worked at the Flathead County Nursing Home, which later became Heritage Place. She also volunteered with the RSVP program playing piano with “The Kitchen Band” at the local nursing homes. She retired at the age of 62 in 1998 and moved in with her mother in Iowa to help take care of her. Norma passed away in 2006 and Pat spent the next ten years between Iowa and Montana. In 2012, at the age of 50, Pat’s son, Craig Lee Dvorak, reached out through the adoption agency and reunited with his birth mother. They reconnected and had a wonderful relationship and did a lot of catching up. The reunion was the highlight of her later years and they became very close. Pat’s love for the LORD was evident in her life. She was kind, intelligent, generous, sweet and loved people. She could carry on a conversation with anyone about anything and loved to visit. She was a people person and enjoyed traveling, as well as armchair trips. She liked to read, dream and draw house plans on paper. She whistled often and had a happy, content spirit. She joined her Lord and Savior at the age of 80 years, passing in her mother’s home in Glidden. She was preceded in death by her parents, aunts and uncles, cousins, and her former husband, Larry McAtee.
