Pamela Jane Schiltz, age 80, of Carroll, IA, passed away on Monday, November 27, 2023 at her home in Carroll.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Carroll with Fr. Timothy Schott as Celebrant.  Music for the Mass will be by Jane Heithoff and Sheri Loughran.  Lector for the Mass will be Paula Jo Malin.  Gift bearers will be Lexie Snyder, Madie Badding, and Mitchell Badding.  Casket bearers will be Jeff Warnke, Justin Warnke, Robert Warnke, Jason Mueggenberg, Travis Warnke, and Mitchell Badding.  Honorary casket bearers will be Paula Jo Malin, Amanda Kennedy, Lexie Snyder, Madie Badding and Cole Malin.  Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home from 5 – 7 P.M. on Wednesday.  The casket will be moved to Holy Spirit Catholic Church at 9:30 A.M. on Thursday where visitation will resume until 10:15 A.M. prior to the Mass.

Pam was born August 1, 1943 at Carroll, IA, the oldest child of 15 born to Vernon Frederick and Burnita Clara (Daniel) Warnke.  She received her primary education at Lanesboro Public School and then Kuemper High School. She was married to Ronald J Schiltz on November 4, 1961 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Carroll.  They made their home in Carroll all their lives. Three daughters were born to this union Renee, Lori, and Tamie. Pam worked at some cafes and St. Anthony Nursing Home before going to GE for 24 years. She was a member of the GE Gets Club, Holy Spirit Ladies Guild and a 4-H Leader for Prancing Pacers 4-H Club for 13 years. She was also co-owner of the Rocking S Tack Shop for ten years. After her retirement, she worked in the office at Swan Lake State Park for several years during camping season.  She was also a camp host with her husband for several years. They spent many years at South Padre Island during the winter months. Also, a lot of time was spent in Arkansas with family and friends. Pam loved her grandchildren and taking them places.  She enjoyed camping, horses, reading, playing the piano, puzzles, and needlework.  She loved spending time with her family and many friends.

Pam is survived by the love of her life Ronald of 62 years of Carroll; three daughters and their families: Renee Traw of Hardy, Ar, Lori Malin (David) of Ankeny, and Tamie Badding (Glenn) of Carroll; nine grandchildren: Jeremy Schiltz (Patty), Rachel Huffmaster, Robyn Haggins (Chris), Paula Jo Malin, Amanda Kennedy (William), Cole Malin (Maggie), Lexie Snyder (Noah), Madie Badding, and Mitchell Badding; her great-grandchildren: Melanie, Annie, Justice, Serenity, Cierra, Courtney, Kirsten, Chasity, Grayson, Addie, Amelia, Rosie and Emmett; four sisters: Cindy Mueggenberg of Carroll, Melody Heim (Richard) of Auburn, Cathy Peterson (John) of Carroll, and Michelle Stork of Breda; nine brothers:  Dennis Warnke (Donna) of Carroll, Dallas Warnke (Brenda) of Carroll, Randy Warnke (Vickie) of Carroll, Victor Warnke (Helen) of Carroll, Gary Warnke of Scranton, and Kevin, Mike, Scott, and Kelly; a sister-in-law Darlene Warnke of Carroll; a brother-in-law Earl Schiltz (Kathy) of Carroll; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Pam was preceded in death by her parents Vernon and Burnita Warnke; her father and mother-in-law Frank and Loretta Schiltz; a brother Bruce Warnke; a sister-in-law Marlene Robbins; two brothers-in-law Ron Mueggenberg and Ken Stork; a son-in-law Terry Traw; and a grandson Joshua Hoffmann.
