Pamela Sue Anthofer

Pamela Sue Anthofer, age 52, of Carroll, IA, passed away on Friday, July 17, 2020 at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at St. John Paul II – Holy Spirit Church in Carroll with Fr. Kevin Richter as Celebrant. Eucharistic minister will be Vincent Gross.  Lector for the Mass will be Roy Lorenz.  Casket bearers will be Zac Anderson, Jody Brinks, Jeff Yenger, Craig Anthofer, Tyler Bretey, and Devon Majerus.  Burial will be in the Merle Hay Memorial Cemetery near Glidden.

Friends may call at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home after 5:00 P.M. on Monday where there will be a Christian Wake Service held at 6:30 P.M. There will be no public visitation at the church on Tuesday.  Everyone in attendance at the Mass is required to wear a mask and abide by Covid – 19 social distancing guidelines.

Pam was born on March 3, 1968 in Carroll, IA, she was the daughter Joseph and Diane (Halbur) Gross.  She grew up in Carroll and graduated from Kuemper High School. Following high school she worked several jobs.  She was married to Chris Anthofer on August 3, 1992 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Carroll.  Pam and Chris made their home in Glidden.  Pam enjoyed her pets, going hiking, Dot to Dot books, reading, writing, and spending time with her family.

Pam is survived by her husband Chris Anthofer of Glidden, IA; a daughter Brianna Anthofer (Elizama Campos) of Carroll; her parents Joseph and Diane Gross of Carroll; her father-in-law Arby Anthofer of Willey; a sister Maria Bretey (Travis) of Carroll; a brother-in-law Craig Anthofer (Jenna) of Breda; three sisters-in-law: Carol Yenger (Jeff) of Albia, IA, Cheryl Brincks (Jody) of Carroll, and Cathy Anderen (Zac) of Lake City; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Pam was preceded in death by her grandparents and her mother-in-law Frances Anthofer.
