Norman Dale Heuton Jr., age 68, of Glidden passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Accura Healthcare in Carroll. A funeral service will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Glidden with Rev. Rick Hamilton of Grace Baptist Church in Glidden officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the Glidden American Legion. Visitation will be held at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Glidden and online condolences may be left for Norman’s family at www.dahnandwoodhouse.com Born on September 23, 1949 in Carroll, he was the son of Norman Dale and Margie (Prill) Heuton. He grew up in Glidden and his family moved to San Dimas, California when he was fourteen years old. He graduated from Pacifica High School in Garden Grove, CA, in 1967. In 1968, Norman enlisted in the United States Army and served two years stationed in Germany. Following his military service, he returned Glidden and farmed with his father for several years before going to work for General Electric where he worked for 25 years. He was married to Wanda Lee Brown in on September 30, 2009. Norman enjoyed watching sports, following NASCAR, camping, antiquing, going for long car rides, but most of all spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. Norman is survived by his son Bill Heuton (Christine Lewis) of Carroll; four grandchildren: Breanna Lewis of Ames, Jami Heuton of Iowa City, Aaron Lewis of Carroll, and Elizabeth Heuton of Carroll; one great-granddaughter Hope Lewis; a sister Kris Heuton of Casa Grande, AZ; two brothers: Tom Heuton (Sue) of Glidden and Tim Heuton of Ontario, CA; many nieces and nephews and other extended family members. Norman was preceded in death by his parents Norman and Margie Heuton; his wife Wanda Lee Brown.
