Norma Dryden

November 6, 1929 — February 5, 2015

Norma J. Dryden, age 85, of Carroll passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2015 at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, February 9, 2015 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Carroll with Pastor Brian Licht officiating. Friends may call at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll after 5:00 P.M. on Sunday where there will be a prayer service held at 7:00 P.M. The casket will be moved to the church at 8:30 A.M. on Monday where visitation will resume until the time of service. Organist for the service will be Jan Hoff. Casket bearers will be Tony Troutman, Jason Kroeger, Noah Dryden, John Reuter, Shawn O’Donnell, and Vinnie Ratliff. Burial will be in the Carroll City Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll, and online condolences may be left for the family at www.dahnandwoodhouse.com. Born on November 6, 1929 in Denison, Iowa, she was the daughter of George and Nora (Wardell) Sievert. Norma grew up in Denison and graduated from Denison High School. She worked at various jobs after high school and most recently worked at the Carrollton Inn for 25 years as night auditor. While living in Denison she was active with Zion Lutheran Church and taught Sunday school and was the treasurer of the LWML. Norma moved to Carroll in 1958 where she was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and served on several committees and taught Vacation Bible School. Norma is survived by a daughter Chris Kroeger of Carroll; three sons: Tom Dryden of Lanesboro, Mike Dryden (Jackie) of Carroll, and Jeff Dryden (Marilyn) of Carroll; eight grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; a sister Elsie Baughman and her husband Dale of Florida; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters: Georgene Roland and Anne Ericson, and a brother Robert Sievert.
