Norbert G. Hulsing, age 87, died at St. Anthony Hospital on February 11, 2010.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at Elizabeth Seaton Catholic Church in Glidden. Music for the mass will be by Mary Ross. Celebrant for the Mass will be Father Anthony Pick. Lector will be Tammy Hulsing. Gift Bearers will be great-granddaughters: Katy Stovall, Hally Wuebben, and Holly Gehling. Casket bearers will be grandsons Kevin Hulsing, Brian Hulsing, Cory Hulsing, Christopher Hulsing, Joby Baugh and Coby Baugh. Friends may call at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Glidden after 3:00PM Sunday where there will be a Rosary at 4:00P.M. and Christian Wake Service at 7:00 P.M. Interment will be in Holy Angels Cemetery in Roselle, Iowa with military honors by the Dedham American Legion.
He was born on September 9, 1922 at Carroll, Iowa and was a son of Ben and Anna (Kramer) Hulsing. He was married to Vivian Neu on August 20, 1946 at Holy Angels Church in Roselle, Iowa. Norbert served in the Air Force, farmed, and was employed at General Electric. He enjoyed going to auctions, fishing, hunting, cheating at cards and playing dominos with family and friends.
Surviving are his wife Vivian of Glidden; two sons: James of Homer, Alaska; Darrell and his wife Meridy of Arizona; three daughters: Peggy Stovall and her husband Alan of Lake Tahoe, California; Patty of Des Moines, Iowa; and Sharon of Carroll, Iowa; a daughter-in-law Janice Hulsing of Roselle, Iowa; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law Midge Hulsing of Carroll; in-laws: Edna Mae Wuebker of Arcadia, Jerome and Donna Neu of Santa Clara, California, Earl and Jenne Neu of Carroll, Wm and Jackie Neu of San Jose, California, LaVern and Arleen Neu of Pleaston, California, and Kenneth and his friend Pat of Oakley, California; Pat and Darrell of San Jose, California. Norbert was preceded in death by his parents, his mother and father-in law, a son Robert, brothers: Leo, Ed and his wife Venita, Art and his wife Delephine.
