Nancy was the daughter of August and Ernestine (Butrick) Heuton, born on July 25, 1943 at St Anthony Hospital in Carroll, IA.  She had been in ill health the past few months and passed peacefully in her sleep at age 77.  Nancy grew up on the “Heuton Place,” the big white house on the NW corner of the Dairy Mart intersection. She enjoyed the life and close friendships made in a small town, keeping in touch with friends from her formative years in Glidden.

Following graduation and departure from Glidden, Nancy lived and raised her family in Ames, IA; McCook NE; LaJunta CO; Durango CO; Chanute KS; Salina KS; St. Joseph MO; and Hot Springs AR, spending the last 15 years in Chandler AZ near children and grandchildren. Through the many moves, Nancy made good, long-lasting friendships.

She enjoyed her work and relationships at Red Lobster over the past 25 years, in both Hot Springs AR and Chandler AZ . In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her friends, family, and grand puppies.

Nancy will be remembered as an incredible cook (especially for her baking and candy!) and loving a good joke. Her Facebook page was filled with recipes and humorous stories. She had a great love for all dogs!

Nancy is survived by her three children: Rod Kruse (Stacy) of Gilbert AZ, Paige Kruse of Chandler AZ, Tony Kruse of Little Rock AR; her four grandchildren Austin & Ryan Kruse and Jaxson & Tyler Finger; and her brother Les Heuton. She is survived by many in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews, and her former spouse, Gene Kruse.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jim Heuton.
