Michael James Ostbloom

Michael James Ostbloom, age 31, of Carroll, Iowa passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2008 at Mary Greely Medical Center in Ames, Iowa. Born on January 7, 1977 at Ft. Dodge, Iowa he was the son of Robert D. and Connie Lee (Krause) Ostbloom. He grew up in the Ft. Dodge area. He was married to Tara Dillin on July 30, 2004 at the First United Methodist Church in Carroll. He was employed by American Home Shield in Carroll. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Carroll. Michael loved basketball, spending time with his family and the outdoors. Surviving are his wife Tara of Carroll; his parents Connie Krause and her husband David of Eagle Grove, Iowa, his father Robert Ostbloom of Ft. Dodge, Iowa; his maternal grandparents Phyllis and Elmer Baardson of Ft. Dodge; a brother Jonnathan Krause of Mason City, Iowa; a brother Charles Aldrich of Eagle Grove, Iowa; a sister Lisa Ostbloom of Ft. Dodge, Iowa; his mother-in-law Sharon Starman and her husband Merle of Carroll; his father-in-law John Dillin of New Jersey; a sister-in-law Patricia Jensen of Carroll; a brother-in-law Jeremy Theulen of Carroll; a sister-in-law April Dillin of New Jersey; and the following nieces and nephews: Jaelyn, Melissa, and Christopher. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll with Rev. Ken Ferguson of the First United Methodist Church in Carroll officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:30 A.M. on Wednesday and continue until the time of service. Burial will be in the Carroll City Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Robert Ostbloom, Jon Dillin, Merle Starman, Jeremy Theulen, Duane Baardson, David Baardson. Honorary casket bearers will be Kyle Baardson, Eric Baardson, Joel Hedeen, Jason Hedeen, Jake Baardson, and Taylr Baardson.
