Michael Lee Baumhover, age 65, of Carroll passed away unexpectedly at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at St. John Paul II Parish – St. Lawrence Church in Carroll with Fr. Timothy Schott as Celebrant.  Lector for the Mass will be Joey

Jodlowski.  Music for the Mass will be by Marcy Anderson.  Casket bearers will be Mike’s family members.  Burial will be in the Carroll City Cemetery.

There will be no visitation prior to the Mass.  Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll and online condolences may be left for the family at www.dahnandwoodhouse.com.

Mike was born on September 13, 1955 in Lake City, IA, and he was the son of David and Irene (Hoffman) Baumhover.  Mike was a lifelong resident of Carroll and St. Lawrence Parish.  He graduated from Carroll High School in 1973 and then attended Universal Technical Institute in Omaha for heating and cooling service.  He drove truck for Crouse Cartage for several years and then went to work with his father on their farm east of Willey.  Mike enjoyed music, fishing, camping, traveling to Canada, all things to do with farming, and his cat Scorpio.  Mike enjoyed socializing and always remembered his family’s birthdates and anniversaries.  He was a very faithful and spiritual Catholic.

Mike is survived by his siblings and their families: sister Renee Kruml (Joe) of Johnston, IA, brother David “Butch” Baumhover Jr. of Carroll, and sister Cindy Baumhover of Carroll; five nieces; one nephew; and several great-nieces and nephews.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents David and Irene Baumhover and his sister Jane Minter.
