Mia Jolene Trevino

Mia Jolene Trevino passed away on Monday, August 3, 2026 at Children’s Hospital in Omaha, NE.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, August 14, 2026 at Annunciation Catholic Church in Coon Rapids. Fr. Patrick Behm will be the Celebrant. Casket bearers will be Juan Trevino and Juan Trevino III.

Visitation will be held at Annunciation Catholic Church from 5 – 7 P.M. on Thursday evening. There will be no visitation prior to the Mass on Friday.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Coon Rapids and online condolences may be left for the family at www.dahnandwoodhouse.com

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested for a later designation.

Mia was born on April 30, 2025 in Ames, IA. She was the daughter of Emily Trevino. She was a beautiful little girl whose sweet smile and loving spirit brought tremendous joy to everyone fortunate enough to know her. In her short 15 months of life, Mia filled the hearts of her family with a love that will last a lifetime.

Mia was a precious gift to her family and was cherished beyond words. She brought happiness wherever she went and created countless memories that her loved ones will hold close to their hearts forever. Her little smile, sweet personality, and the joy she brought to those around her will never be forgotten.

Although Mia's time with her family was far too short, the love she gave and the memories she created will remain forever. She will always be her family's precious little girl and will be loved and missed every day.

Mia is survived by her mother Emily Trevino; her grandparents Jessica Arguelles and Juan Trevino; her uncle Juan Trevino III (Estefania) and their daughter Luz; three aunts Kaitlynn Trevino (Drake Miller), Jailah Trevino, and Jazelle Trevino; her great-grandparents Juan Trevino Sr and Silvia Trevino.

Mia was preceded in death by her great-grandparents Fidel Arguelles and Florinda Alonzo.

Mia Jolene will be forever cherished, forever remembered, and forever loved.

Mia's family has been overwhelmed by the incredible outpouring of love and support from the Coon Rapids community and surrounding areas. Friends, neighbors, and people from near and far came together with prayers, kindness, and encouragement for Mia and her family. A vigil was held at Annunciation Catholic Church in Coon Rapids, where many gathered to pray and support the family.

The family is deeply grateful to everyone who prayed for Mia, reached out with words of comfort, offered support, and surrounded them with love during this difficult time. The kindness shown to their family has been a beautiful reminder of how deeply Mia was loved.

Even in her short time on earth, Mia’s life will continue to make a lasting difference. Through the gift of organ donation, Mia will have the opportunity to help save and improve the lives of up to nine other children. Her precious gift will allow a part of her to live on in others, giving hope, healing, and the possibility of more birthdays, more laughter, and more cherished moments for their families. Though her time with us was far too short, Mia’s beautiful spirit and the gift she leaves behind will touch lives in ways that will never be forgotten.
