Mary Louise Mosher, age 80,of Carroll, Iowa died Wednesday, September 17, 2008, at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll. Born on June 17, 1928 at Waukon, Iowa, she was the daughter of Dudley and Mildred (Robbins) Hale. She graduated from Olewein High School and then attended Iowa State University. She then attended and graduated from William and Mary College with a BA degree in Distributive Education. She was married to Robert Mosher on June 21, 1952 at St. Patricks Catholic Church in Waukon, Iowa with Father MacDonald as celebrant. Mary was foremost a mother and home maker. She currently worked as a Clinical Receptionist and was a volunteer in Pastoral Care at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll. She also volunteered with the St. Anthony Hospital Auxiliary, the Blood Mobil, Meals on Wheels, the Kuemper Catholic High School Alumni, and the Carroll County Election Board. Mary was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and the Church Guild. She was a Eucharistic Minister and served on the church funeral committee as well as the welcome committee of the church. In her spare time she enjoyed spending time with her family, golfing, walking riding her bike, reading and playing bridge. Mary is survived by her children: Jane Swanson and husband Mark of West Des Moines; Mary Kay Lynch and husband Tim of Decorah; Mike Mosher and wife Shelle of Carroll; John Mosher and wife Anne of Sioux City; Rob Mosher and wife Carla of West Des Moines and Julie Harrison and husband Mark of Ada, Michigan;12 grandchildren and a sister Ruth Ann Starr of St. Paul Minn. Mass of the Christian Burial will be 10 AM, Saturday, September 20, 2008, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Carroll . A rosary will be held Friday at 4 PM and a Christian Wake Service at 7 PM at Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home where Friends my call after 3:30 PM. On Friday. The casket will be moved to the church at 8AM on Saturday for viewing until time of the service. Interment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery The family suggests that friends may if they wish contribute to a memorial fund in memory of Mary for the St. Anthony Hospital, Kuempeer Catholic School or the Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
