Mary Kloser

August 13, 1927 — May 2, 2019

On Thursday, May 2, 2019 Mary Ellen Kloser, loving wife and mother of seven children, went to be with her Lord at the age 91at Regency Park in Carroll.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 10:30 A.M. at St. John Paul II Parish – St. Lawrence Church in Carroll with Fr. Brian Feller as Celebrant.  Music for the Mass will be by Kate Cuddy and the St. Lawrence Resurrection Choir with Kathleen Macke as cantor.  Lector for the Mass will be Greg Dietz.  Eucharistic Ministers will be Kathy Stein and Mary Dietz. Gift bearers will be the Jack Frank Family. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Carroll.

Friends may call at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll after 5:00 P.M. on Friday where there will be a Christian Wake Service and rosary by Father Timothy Schott at 7:00.  Additional visitation will be held at St. Lawrence Church from 9:30 A.M. – 10:15 A.M. on Saturday.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.dahnandwoodhouse.com.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Kuemper Catholic School Foundation or Alzheimer’s Association, and may be left at the funeral home or the church.

Mary was born on her family’s farm near Halbur, IA, on August 13, 1927, the third of 4 children, to parents Fred and Elizabeth (Schmitz) Wells. She married James Robert Kloser on September 21, 1950 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Carroll. She was extremely devoted to and proud of her family. Mary was very active at St. Lawrence Catholic Church and St. Anthony Hospital Auxiliary.   She enjoyed her daily coffee group, playing cards, and golf.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents Fred and Elizabeth Wells; her mother and father-in-law Frank and Genevieve Kloser; her sister Evelyn Wille; and two brothers: Francis “Bud” Wells and Bernie Wells.

She is survived by her husband Bob Kloser of Carroll; her daughters Kathleen Stein (Joe) of Omaha, NE, Mary Dietz (Greg) of Fairview, TX, and Rae Ann Frank (Jack) of Milton, GA; sons Phillip Kloser (Nancy) Glenwood, IA, Mark Kloser of Carroll, Richard Kloser of Joliet, IL, and Joseph Kloser (Tammy) of Peoria, AZ; her grandchildren Joshua and Jacob Kloser, Jack and Genevieve Frank, and Tiera Ciaccio (Michael); and great-grandchild Zoey Ciaccio.

The family would like to acknowledge a special thanks to Regency Nursing Home and Kindred Hospice for their kindness in her final days.
