Marjorie (Baer) Rawstron was born June 25, 1908, at Defiance, Iowa, to Doctor and Mrs. Thomas Baer. Dr. Baer homesteaded near Timber Lake, SD in 1910.
Marjorie graduated from high school in Timber Lake, SD in 1925. She married Gan Anderson in 1927. Mr. Anderson was employed by the Bureau of Indian Affairs. They were stationed in various parts of the country: Parker, AZ; Owyhee, NV; and Plummer, ID. Gan passed away in April of 1963 in Rapid City, SD. Marjorie continued living in Rapid City and was a volunteer there at the Veterans’ Home.
Marjorie married Herbert Rawstron in San Bernardino, CA, in March of 1974. Herb passed away three years later. Marjorie then moved to Carroll, IA in 1978, and resided in the Morrison apartments. Marjorie was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church. Her hobbies were reading and playing bridge, before losing her eyesight. Marjorie became seriously ill on August 12 and then moved to the Regency Park Center, where she passed away September 16, 2007.
Marjorie is survived by many cousins and special friends.
