Marjorie "Marge" Reiman

Marjorie "Marge" Reiman, age 92, of Carroll passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, April 14, 2023 at St. John Paul II Parish – Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Carroll with Fr. Merlin Schrad as Celebrant assisted by Deacon Scott Steffen.  Lector for the Mass will be Tom Reiman.  Music for the Mass will be by Kathy Halbur as pianist and Kathleen Macke as Cantor.  Mass Servers will be Noah and Avery Reiman.  Gift bearers will be Jace, Jemma, and Ivey Volquartzen, and Brynlee, Brenten, and Bryce Hoffman.  Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Carroll.

Visitation will be held at Holy Spirit Church from 9:30 A.M. – 10:15 A.M. on Friday prior to the Mass.

Marge was born October 6, 1930, at her parents’ home in Carroll County, IA, and she was the daughter of Victor and Gladys (Joy) Sapp. She grew up in Mt. Carmel and attended the Mt. Carmel Parochial School. After her schooling, she helped operate the family farm.

On October 18, 1949, she was united in marriage to Orville Reiman at the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Mt. Carmel. They were blessed with 5 children: Jerry, Linda, Debb, Craig, and Tom. While the children were little, she was a homemaker raising their children. She then was employed at Heithoff Furniture in Carroll for a short time before working for the Carroll Medical Center as a secretary until she retired. Orville died January 22, 2009.

Marge was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Carroll. She enjoyed golfing and bowling and was on many bowling leagues throughout her years. Marge loved to quilt and was a wonderful seamstress. In her spare time, you could often find her playing a game of bridge with friends or family.

Marge is survived by her children: Jerry (Linda) Reiman of Carroll, Linda Volquartsen of Carroll, Debb Pille of Carroll, Craig (Patty) Reiman of Lakeville, MN, and Tom (Michele) Reiman of Milford, IA; 17 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Shirley Rote of IL, Lou Cook of SD, Lisa Larson of UT, Roger (Kathi) Sapp of Central City, IA, and Vic (Rosemary) Sapp of Glidden;  brother-in-law, Roy (Bobbi) Reiman of Milwaukee, WI; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Marge is preceded in death by her husband Orville Reiman; her parents; her granddaughters: Heidi Reiman in infancy and Holly Volquartsen-Kanne; sister, Joyce Sproston; nephew, Justin Sapp; and niece, Connie Gierman.
