Marjorie M. Bushman

Marjorie M. Bushman, age 89, of Glidden passed away on Friday, February 15, 2013 at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, February 18, 2013 at Peace Lutheran Church in Glidden. Friends may call at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Glidden after 5:00 P.M. on Sunday where there will be a prayer service held at 7:00 P.M. The casket will be moved to the church at 12:00 P.M. on Monday where visitation will resume until the time of service. Organist for the service will be Becky Milller and the soloist will be Carl Wilburn. Burial will be in the Merle Hay Memorial Cemetery near Glidden. Casket bearers will be Marge’s Grandsons: Beau Bushman, Nick Bushman, Adam Squibb, Brandon Squibb, Matt Janssen, and Travis Hicks. Born on April 30, 1923 in Carroll, she was the daughter of Gus and Esther (Jubell) Johnson. She grew up on a farm south of Glidden and graduated from Glidden High School. Marge was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at Peace Lutheran Church in Glidden. Marge was married to Robert Bushman on April 28, 1946 at Peace Lutheran Church in Glidden. She worked as a bookkeeper for the Farmer’s Elevator Cooperative and the Glidden Egg Plant. She was a lifelong member of Peace Lutheran Church in Glidden and the LWML. She moved to Sunnybrook Assisted Living in Carroll in 2011. Marge belonged to several clubs in the Glidden community over the years. She enjoyed playing cards, shopping, and spending time with her family and grandchildren. Marge is survived by a son David Bushman and his wife Dorothy of Glidden; two daughters :Lora Janssen and her husband Stan of Coon Rapids and Janice Baumhover and her husband Jay of Mt. Carmel; nine grandchildren: Beau Bushman and his wife Jamie, Nick Bushman and his special friend Amanda, Kevin Bushman and his wife Jen, Matt Janssen and his wife Sara, Michelle Hicks and her husband Travis, Adam Squibb and his wife Courtny, Brandon Squibb and his wife Katie, Collin Baumhover, and Tyler Baumhover; and thirteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert in 1994, her sisters: Fern Lynch and her husband Tom, Evelyn Kruger and her husband Henry, a granddaughter Casey in 1995, and many other relatives.
