Marilyn Henning

Marilyn Henning, age 81, of Jefferson, IA, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at Accura Healthcare of Pomeroy.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 8, 2020 in the Scranton Township Cemetery.  Fr. Timothy Friedrichsen will officiate.  Arrangements are entrusted to the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home of Scranton and online condolences may be left for the family at www.dahnandwoodhouse.com

Born on May 7, 1938 in Jefferson, IA, she was the daughter of William and Faye (Solt) Andersen.  She grew up in Scranton where she graduated from Scranton Consolidated Schools.  Marilyn was married to Allen Henning in 1964 and she worked at the Redwood Inn in Jefferson as a cook for many years.  Marilyn enjoyed gardening and cooking.

Marilyn is survive d by a daughter Tracy Morlan (Jeff) of Story City, IA; two granddaughters: Ashley Matics (Josh) of Waukee and their daughter Brooklyn and Jessica Kytola (Tyler) of Ankeny and their sons Bryce and Wyatt.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents William and Faye Andersen; two sons: Brian Henning and David Henning.
