Marie C. (Wiederin) Ramaekers, age 103, of Carroll died Wednesday, January 30, at the Carroll Health Center in Carroll.
Born December 28, 1904, at Mt. Carmel, she was the daughter of Theodore and Amelia (Odendahl) Wernimont. On February 27, 1928, she was united in marriage with August Wiederin at Mt. Carmel. On May 6, 1968, Marie was later married to Theodore Ramaekers at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Carroll. Marie was a member of St. Lawrence Church where she was also a member of the Guild.
Survivors include: Five children: Donald Wiederin and wife Lu Etta of Scranton; Irwin Wiederin and wife Ruby of LIdderdale; Marvin Wiederin and wife Marcia of Coal Valley, IL; Rosemary Harman and husband Gordon of Sac City; Richard Wiederin and wife Linda of San Jose, CA; 24 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; a sister Agnes Meiners of Jefferson; sisters-in-law Thelma Wernimont of Carroll and Marie Wernimont of Sioux City; a brother-in-law Clarence Ludwig of Breda. She was preceded in death by both husbands; her parents; brothers: Edward, Ray, Wilbur and Leo; sisters: Theoradora Riggs, Cecelia Wiederin, Lillian Ludwig and Anna Wernimont in infancy; a son-in-law Walter Greteman; grandson Mark Wiederin and a great-grandson Shawn Gliem.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be 2 PM Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Carroll, with Fr. Timothy Schott celebrating. Marie’s grandchildren will serve as casket bearers. Friends may call at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll after 2 PM on Friday. A Rosary will be recited at 3 PM and a Prayer Service will be held at 7 PM.
