Marian Alice Puffett, age 67, passed away on Friday, March 11, 2011 at Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames, Iowa. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll with Fr. Timothy Johnson of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Carroll officiating. Friends may call at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday where the family will greet friends. Burial will be in the Carroll City Cemetery. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.dahnandwoodhouse.com Born on June 11, 1943 at Berkshire, Vermont, she was the daughter of Alfred and Florence (Garrow) Cameron. She grew up in St. Albans and graduated from Bellows Free Academy in 1962. She was married to Ardon Justin Puffett on October 6, 1962 at St. Albans, Vermont. The couple lived in Iowa City and Council Bluffs and moved to Carroll in 1967. Marian worked in radiology at St. Anthony’s Regional Hospital and several restaurants in Carroll including many years at the Carroll Elk’s Lodge. She was an avid bowler in her younger years and she loved to follow the Iowa Hawkeyes. Surviving are two sons: Tony Puffett and his wife Noelle of Cheorkee, and Jeff Puffett and his wife Jen of Carroll; her mother Florence Cameron of St. Albans, Vermont; four grandchildren: Suzanne Young and her husband Mike of Sioux City, James Puffett of Ames, Keaton Puffett, and Kylie Puffett both of Carroll; two great grandchildren: Madison and Peyton Young; a brother Rod Cameron and his wife Moncia of St. Albans, Vermont; five sisters: Carol DuPont and her husband Alain of St. Albans, Vermont, Bea Coon and her husband Greg of Swanton, Vermont, Sandy Messier and her husband Gary of Stockbridge, Georgia, Sherry Juaire and her husband David of East Fairfield, Vermont, and Merry Souza and her husband Richard of Highgate, Vermont; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, her husband in 2006, and a brother Alfred Jr. in infancy.
