Marian Gail Gustoff

Marian Gail Gustoff, age 88, of Jefferson, IA, and formerly of Scranton, IA, passed away on Friday, July 8, 2022 at Accura Healthcare of Jefferson.

A private family graveside service will be held at the Scranton Township Cemetery near Scranton.

Marian was born on May 23, 1934 in Iowa City, IA, and she was the daughter of Carl and Evelyn (Cross) Johns.  She grew up in Jefferson and was married to Loran Fetters in 1950.  The couple lived in Jefferson and where they had five children.  They divorced in 1959 and Marian was later married to Larry Gusstoff Sr. on December 24, 1969 and to this union five more children were born.  She worked at Regency Park Nursing Home in Jefferson and also did adult home care.  Marian enjoyed reading, going to garage sales, and spending time with family.

Marian is survived by her children and their families: son Carter “Gene” Fetters of Jefferson, daughter Kathie Fetters of Jefferson, daughter Cheryl Johns (Mark) of Jefferson, daughter Dorsey Taylor (Gordon) of Woodward, son Larry Gustoff Jr. (Teresa) of Jefferson, daughter Johnna Gustoff of Jefferson, and daughter Betty Ridout (Kevin) of Norwalk; 20 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; and other extended family members.

Marian was preceded in death by her parents Carl and Evelyn Johns; her husband Larry Gustoff Sr. in 1996; a son Dennis Fetters; and a daughter Tamie McDowell.
