Margaret “Bubbles” Baumhover, age 79, of Carroll passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at Regency Park Nursing Home in Carroll. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, September 19, 2016 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Carroll with Fr. Timothy Johnson as Celebrant. Lector for the Mass will be Molli Leiting. Gift bearers will be Krista Tigges, Carly Tigges, Jadin Naig, and Lindsey Leiting. Eucharistic Ministers will be Donna Bachman and Art Reiff. Casket bearers will be Brad Warnke, Merlin Wittrock, Tyler Leiting, Colin Leiting, Justin Naig, and Jace Naig. The St. Anthony Hospital Auxiliary will form an honor guard at the Mass. Music for the Mass will be by Barb McDermott and the Holy Spirit Choir. Soloist will be John Wagner accompanied by Ellen Severin. Burial will be in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Mt. Carmel. Friends may call at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll after 3:30 P.M. on Sunday where there will be a Rosary at 4:00 P.M. and a Christian Wake Service at 6:30 P.M. The casket will be moved to Holy Spirit Catholic Church at 10:00 A.M. on Monday where visitation will resume until the time of Mass. She was the daughter of Robert and Susan (Daniel) Reiff. Bubbles grew up on the farm and graduated from Mt. Carmel High School in 1955. Following high school she did bookkeeping and tax work for several local accounting firms. Bubbles was married to William Baumhover on January 7, 1956 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Mt. Carmel by Msgr. O.W. Koester. She began working for Mid-States Financial in 1977 and transferred to Des Moines when they were bought out by Norwest Financial. She retired in 2002 from Wells Fargo and moved back to Carroll. In retirement, Bubbles enjoyed volunteer work at St. Anthony Nursing Home and Hospital and at Holy Spirit Parish. She was a member of the St. Anthony Hospital Auxiliary and Holy Spirit Parish. She was an avid reader, flower gardener and enjoyed going to garage sales. Bubbles enjoyed bowling and playing bridge in her younger years. She was a devoted Mother and cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Bubbles is survived by her three children: Russ Baumhover of Des Moines, Lori Tigges (Craig) of Mt. Carmel, and Jen Naig of Graettinger; eight grandchildren: Tyler Leiting (Molli) of Algona, Colin Leiting of Emmetsburg, Lindsey Leiting of Estherville, Jace, Justin, and Jadin Naig of Graettinger, Krista Tigges of Mt. Carmel, Carly Tigges of Breda; four great grandchildren: Keegan and Crue Sloth, Brantley Leiting, and Lydia Curry; two sisters: Louise Schlorholtz of Mason City and Karen Schouten of Carroll; a brother Ray Reiff (Ethel) of Carroll; her brother-in-law Joe Polka of Pleasant Hill, MO, her step-brother Art Reiff of Carroll, two step-sisters Della Reiff of Carroll and Norma Jean Eischeid (Cliff) of Carroll; her step-sister-in-law Ella Mae Reiff of Carroll; and several nieces and nephews. Bubbles was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Marian Polka, two brothers: Paul Reiff (Irene) and Bob Reiff (Judy), a brother-in-law Floyd Schlorholtz, a step-sister Marcella “Marrie” Sullivan, a step brother Alvin Reiff, and a step-sister-in-law Marilyn 'Sal' 'Reiff.
