Lynn Allyn Majerus, age 67, of Scranton, IA, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 25, 2019 at her home in Scranton.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, January 2, 2020 at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Scranton. Casket bearers will be Lynn’s grandchildren. Burial will be in the Carroll City Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9:30 A.M. until the time of service. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Scranton and online condolences may be left for the family at www.dahnandwoodhouse.com
Born on September 25, 1952 in Independence, IA, she was the daughter of Homer Fred and Doris Mae (McCullom) Dilts. She grew up Independence until senior year in high school when she moved to Carroll to live with her grandparents Wilma and Lloyd McCullom. She graduated from Carroll High School in 1970. She was married to Jonathan Majerus in Yankton, SD, on August 12, 1982. The couple made their home in Carroll, Glidden, Scranton, and Paton. Jonathan passed away in 2016 and Lynn moved back to Scranton in 2018. Lynn loved her dog Gunnar and she enjoyed gardening.
Lynn is survived by two daughters: Tracy Gehling (Paul) of Scranton, IA, and Karilynn Ordonez de Leon (Juan) of Perry; eight grandchildren: Jonathan Moore (Brie) of Ft. Dodge, Regina Majerus (fiancé Josh Harman) of Mingo, IA, Andrew Majerus (fiancé Beth Humphrey) of Ft. Dodge, IA, Jose Ordonez de Leon of Perry, IA, Taylor Majerus of Perry, IA, Daniel Gehling of Scranton, IA, Aaliyah Gehling of Scranton, IA, Yaakov Gehling of Scranton, and Maria Del Carmen Ordonez de Leon; four great-grandchildren: Colton, Emerli, Braxley, and Grayson; and several other extended family members.
Lynn was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Jonathan Majerus; and her siblings.
