Lucille Butler

Lucille T. Butler, age 78, of Carroll passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2011 at the Carroll Health Center Nursing Home in Carroll. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, December 30, 2011 at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll with Fr. Timothy Johnson of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Carroll officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 A.M. on Friday until the time of service. Casket bearers will be Kevin Butler, Brian Tigges, Larry Owen, Dan Owen, Steve Kramer, and Ron Mohr. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Carroll. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Lucille’s name and memorials may be left at the funeral home. Born on November 5, 1932 at Carroll, Iowa, she was the daughter of Henry and Clara (Schulte) Lehrter. She grew up in Carroll where she lived all her life. She was a member of the Catholic Church. Lucille loved and adored her children and her entire family. She loved to go on shopping trips to Wal-Mart and enjoyed buying things for her children rather than herself. Lucille is survived by her daughter Carol Ann Butler of Carroll; a son Kevin Butler of Nevada, Iowa; a brother Al Lehrter and his wife Lynette of Carroll; seven sisters: Frances Owen of Carroll, Mary Lehrter of Carroll, Dorothy Kramer and her husband Earl of Carroll, Stella Mohr of Carroll, Shirley Miller of Carroll, JoAnn Petersen of Manning, and Claire Lehrter of Rockwell City; and many nieces and nephews. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Richard and Henry Jr., a sister Leona Daisy, and five brothers-in-law.
