Funeral service for Lorena M. "Renie" Pederson of Carroll will be at 9 a.m. Friday, July 25, 2008, at Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral home in Carroll.
Mrs. Pederson, 74, formerly of Mason City, died Saturday, July 19, at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll following a short illness.
The Rev. Ken Ferguson of First United Methodist Church in Carroll will officiate the service.
Honorary casket bearers will be Derek Pederson, David Pederson, Anthony Bushnell, Kyle Rotert, Mike Green, Nicholas Pederson and David Bushnell.
Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 26, at Christ Lutheran Cemetery near LeMars.
Visitation starts at 8:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Another service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, July 25, at St. James Lutheran Church in Mason City with the Rev. Paul Nelson officiating.
A daughter of Clarence and Emma Freda (Dirks)Collmann, she was born Feb. 2, 1934, at LeMars and graduated from Brunsville High School.
She and Dr. David D. Pederson were married Jan. 14, 1953, at Minneapolis, Minn.
Mrs. Pederson spent most of her life in the Mason City area. She was a patient accounting clerk at Iowa Mercy Medical Center for 25 years. She moved to Carroll in 2006.
She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church and the American Legion Auxiliary in Mason City. She enjoyed traveling and reading.
Survivors include two sons: Derek Pederson and wife Carrie of Lakeville, Minn., and David Pederson and wife Mary of Carroll; four grandchildren: Nicholas Pederson, Ella Pederson, Sarah Bushnell and husband Anthony and Bekah Rotert and husband Kyle; and four great-grandchildren: Emily, David, Michaela and Rachael.
Mrs. Pederson was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and an infant daughter.
