Lois Gertrude Wohlenberg

Lois Gertrude Wohlenberg, age 90, of Carroll, Iowa died at the Regency Park Nursing and Rehab Center in Carroll on November 6, 2007. Funeral Service will be at 2PM Monday, November l2, 2007 at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll with the Rev. Ken Ferguson of the First United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in the Carroll City Cemetery. Friends may call at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll after 5PM on Sunday. Lois had worked as a secretary for McCoy Motors in Carroll for 5 years in Carroll and also for the Governor’s office for 3 years. She then became a legal secretary for the law firm of Gamble, Piape, Bundt,Webster and Fletcher in Des Moines. She lived all her life in Des Moines, and Carroll. Lois was born on August 5, l9l7 at Lidderdale, Iowa and was the daughter of John C. and (Ellamina Peck) Wohlenerg. Lois was affiliated with the Methodist Church and was a member of the National Legal Secretary, the WaTanYa Club, as a young girl she attended and graduated from Carroll High School in l935. Surviving are a niece Judy Rassmussen. She was preceded in death by her parents, a Brother Glenn, and 2 sisters: Phyllis Schade and Dorothy Wohlenberg.
